Opening ceremony of "Tulip Hall" project took place in Shymkent

In Shymkent, for the first time, a large-scale event dedicated to the City Day was held in the new multifunctional complex "Tulip Hall". The solemn event was attended by the mayor of the city Gabit Syzdykbekov, representatives of the intelligentsia, residents of the city,El.kz reports with reference to the mayor's office of the city.

The akim of the city congratulated on the holiday and noted the merits of a number of honored citizens of the city.

Addressing those gathered the akim of the city noted that the history of Shymkent is at least 2200 years old. Since Shymkent received the status of a city of republican significance, many positive changes have taken place.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of industrial products produced in Shymkent amounted to 424.7 billion tenge. In the manufacturing industry in 2024, it is planned to implement 16 projects worth 84.9 billion tenge with the creation of 1,834 jobs. Of these, two projects worth 500 million tenge were implemented. The volume of agricultural production amounted to 17.3 billion tenge. The volume of attracted investments in the city increased by 17.4% and amounted to 203.7 billion tenge. The volume of construction work amounted to 55.7 billion tenge, an increase of 30.7%.

At the event, a number of citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of the city were awarded with  the title of "Honorary Citizen" of the city of Shymkent.

It is worth noting that the area of the building, built on behalf of the President, is 17,964 square meters. The capacity of the concert hall in the three-storey building is 2066 seats. In addition, there is a conference hall for 190 seats.
