North Macedonia welcomes opening of Kazakh Embassy

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Zhanibek Abdrashov, paid a working visit to Skopje on February 9 this year and took part in the annual reception of the President of Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, organized for members of the diplomatic corps, El.kz cites MFA.

During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Head of Macedonia and briefly introduced on the progress of political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan. The Macedonian side was informed of the main theses on economic development outlined during the expanded meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by the Head of State, held on February 7 this year

Abdrashov informed President Pendarovsky about the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Northern Macedonia, which will soon begin its work in Skopje.

The sides noted the high level of bilateral relations, which are developing in the spirit of mutual respect and understanding, and highly appreciated the activity of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.

In turn, Pendarovsky welcomed Kazakhstan's decision to open an embassy in Skopje, noting that this would contribute to further deepening ties between the two countries.

In addition, the Kazakh diplomat held talks with the Director of the Department of Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, Saniya Zografskaya. During the meeting, the current state and prospects of deepening bilateral relations, increasing the volume of mutual trade and expanding the legal framework, as well as cooperation and coordination of efforts between the two countries were discussed.
