Representatives of KOMEK MACHINERY Kazakhstan LLP met with the university administration at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agricultural University.

The meeting was initiated by Deputy Chairman of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, public figure Zhumagali Arystan within the framework of the memorandum signed between S. Seifullin KazAtU and APK.

During the meeting, he noted that the company has been working in the market for many years, practically working with all major mining, oil, road construction companies.

"The main goal of the company is to promote its product, i.e. machinery and equipment. At present, they have plans to develop a service center in Astana," said a public figure.

In 2019, he said, the LLP needed the first 70 specialists - service technicians and until 2023, on average, 80 people each.

Denis Ulyashov, director general of KOMEK MACHINERY Kazakhstan LLP (official distributor of Komatsu and Bomag equipment in Kazakhstan), said the company celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.

The main shareholder is the Japanese trading house Mitsui. To date, it is the only significant large business of Mitsui in Kazakhstan. The main business area is distribution of Komatsu equipment: delivery of equipment and, most importantly, service.

"First of all, we are a service company, working throughout Kazakhstan, where our equipment works. Today we have come to such a stage of development, when we are able to plan our activities for years to come, we know where and how many people we will need, and we are already opening vacancies. The five-year plan, which we developed last year and approved, implies a significant reorganization of the company and its expansion in terms of service," said CEO of the company.

The organization provides high-tech equipment, but this equipment requires clear, understandable and high-quality service. For a year and a half, as the head of LLP reported, the number of employees has increased by about 80 people, and this is not only in one region of the country. At the same time, there is an understanding of the fact that the existing labor market has a shortage of personnel trained to meet the requirements of the employer.

In this regard, we decided to use the opportunity to work with educational institutions, prepare students for training, practice and further employment. The employer assured that the company is a long-term one, and will continue to exist for many years.

Rector of S. Seifullin KazATU Ahylbek Kurishbaev accepted the offer of cooperation.

"As the President said in his State of the Nation Address of Kazakhstan (October 5, 2018 - Editor's note), there is no need to reinvent the bike, it is necessary to adapt it to our conditions. There is also a transfer. I think there will be demand. Universities have been given academic freedom, and we can determine the research program itself. The market is changing along with its needs. This gives us the opportunity to develop in accordance with the requirements of employers," said Ahylbek Kurishbayev.

The rector said 50 university professors came out of the workforce because, on the recommendation of their foreign partner, Davis University in California (USA), they are trying to avoid practical training.

"Our teachers and I have also been trained there. Representatives of the university constantly come to see how we implement their experience here, learn the principle of "learning by doing"," explained Ahylbek Kurishbaev.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of interest to them and agreed to hold a meeting with the audience of the university students.


In continuation of the meeting Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of Technical Mechanics, Dean of the Technical Faculty of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agricultural University Sayahat Nukeshev conducted an excursion on the auditoriums and spoke about the process of education and training of specialists..
