This year, veterans of Second World War and home front workers will be provided with charitable assistance in the amount of more than 115 million tenge, El.kz reports with reference to the general director of the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund Alfiya Adiyeva.

As she tol, in 2022-2023, volunteer raids will be organized, a system of assistance to lonely elderly people in need with medicines, food and other basic necessities will be implemented. Attention is also paid to special needs: in household appliances, hearing aids.

In addition, the National Volunteer Network took up the implementation of the social project "Zhenis". The organization intends to cover at least 1400 veterans of the Second World War and home front workers by the end of the year.

"The project covers all settlements by coordinating the volunteer movement in 35 cities. At least 500 volunteers are involved. At the end of the year, active volunteers will be encouraged within the framework of the project. The project is aimed at forming in society, among young people and children a sense of respect for elders, patriotic education," the speaker said.

There are 387 participants and disabled people of the Second World War in Kazakhstan.
