Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Mazhilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov

The President was provided with information on the legislative work carried out in the second session of the VII convocation of the Mazhilis. According to the Speaker of the lower house of Parliament, a number of adopted laws were aimed at legislative support of the reforms initiated by the Head of State, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

According to Yerlan Koshanov, at present the deputies have left for the regions to hold meetings with the population and receive feedback on the situation on the ground. Mazhilismen will study and systematize the most significant problems raised by citizens, and in the future will solve them together with the Government.

The President was informed about the new formats of the lower house of Parliament, including the creation of the Public Chamber.

Yerlan Koshanov told Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the work of the AMANAT party to ensure social justice in society and improve the well-being of citizens. Thus, within the framework of the "Zher Amanaty" project, unused and illegally allocated agricultural land is returned to state ownership.

Together with the Government, the party is implementing the Project "Auyl Amanaty". Villagers will be trained in new competencies in the production of agricultural products, taking into account the requirements of retail chains and consumer requests. It is planned to cover 2400 rural districts with a population of 7.7 million people.

The Chairman of the Mazhilis also reported to the Head of State on the results of the participation of the delegation of Kazakhstan in the XI plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries, held in the city of Cholpon-Ata on June 23-24.
