Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov on the sidelines of the Mazhilis commented on the possible strengthening of quarantine and the possible return of the mask regime in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the BaigeNews.kz.

"Vaccination is the main issue, while there is no critical situation. But the mask regime can be returned in case of activation and growth of patients. Now there is an increase to 100 people per day. We introduce the issues of strengthening quarantine measures to the meeting of interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan . Not only on masks, in general on measures," Tugzhanov said.

The number of coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan continues to grow : for the first time since March 2022, more than 100 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported on June 29. On June 30, the number of new COVID cases is 137.
