Kazakhstan to create National Competence Center
As part of the Year of Vocational Jobs, the National Competence Center will be created in Astana,El.kz reports.
The center will become a platform for interaction between business and the training system, as well as a single training base for students of technical and vocational education.
"The National Competence Center will strengthen the strategy for improving the quality of education and the popularity of blue-collar jobs. This will become the basis for the preparation of the national team for the WorldSkills World Championships, and will also contribute to the retraining of personnel and advanced training of specialists," Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev said.
Such centers are successfully operating in China, South Korea and Russia, demonstrating effectiveness in training qualified specialists. The Kazakh national team, which has represented the country at the WorldSkills Championships since 2014, has already achieved significant success in the international arena.
