Kazakh designer presents national headdress at exhibition in New York

Ambassador of creative industries of Kazakhstan Aliya Zhamantayeva is taking part in exhibition in New York, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Kazakh Tourism NC JSC.

"Aliya Zhamantayeva is a Kazakhstani designer who promotes our identity. Alia has her own individual vision and concept in design, where she reflects the DNA of the country. It weaves traditions and customs into the modern interpretation of fashionable images," the press service said.

At the exhibition in New York from 9 to 16 February in the theme of Valentine's Day "LOVE. MAKE. LOVE" she presents her jewelry: she interpreted through the prism of modern fashion everyone's favorite national headdress - saukele.

The patches presented at the exhibition, which she sewed to interested guests during the workshop, are made according to her own design with the call to "love".

"It is very important for us to understand how to move in the development of creative industries. Every day there are dramatic changes, new technologies appear. But at the same time, manual labor and handmade craftsmen in the world market become a must have. It is important for us to help our Kazakhstani talents to declare themselves, and we give an opportunity to develop the entire industry,"
