Knowledge beautifies the world
Kazakhstan is the common homeland of all Kazakhs. Our ancestors defended their homeland for future generations without giving it to the enemy. The motto "My cattle is the prey of my soul, my soul is the prey of my conscience" has been instilled in the minds of future generations... We have been under the rule of the Russian Empire for three centuries. In the old days, we almost forgot our nobility, overshadowing our national values, that are rooted in the blood of Turks.
Since our country got its independence, we have regained consciousness. As an independent state, we have invited our fellow Kazakh relatives, who live abroad, to our country. Since we got the independence, millions of Kazakh children have set foot to their fatherland. The treasures of the genealogy have raised the history and culture of Kazakh people and led to the fulfillment of great ideals. The traditions that we have preserved along with our brothers and sisters, the traditions of the Huns, have paved the way for the future through our daily life.
As our people say, «One hand burns only one thing, but a thousand burns knowledge». Our fellow relatives from abroad are also heralds of the news and contribute to the development of Kazakh science.
In particular, three of our fellow relatives from China became the winners of the republican competition "The best teacher of the university" in 2019. Alibek Idirisuly, one of the hundreds of our fellow relatives, is the director of the Biomedical Research Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD doctor. He is one of the three hundred qualified young people included in the Youth Labour Pool under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We wish good luck to Alibek Idirisuly, who has high hopes for the future, in the field of science.
The next winner was Zhanar Zheniskyzy, a professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD doctor. Since 2009 Zh. Zheniskyzy has successfully worked as a senior lecturer, associate professor and acting professor at the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In 2010-2012, Zh. Zhenisovna submitted a research project to the Tokyo Biochemical Research Foundation and won a scholarship. She also successfully completed a postdoctoral research at Hoshi Pharmaceutical University in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2014, Zh. Zhenisovna won a scholarship for foreign researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She conducted a research at Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry. In 2016, she was awarded for her high-level presentation at the NATPRO6 conference in Thailand.
In 2016-2018, Zh. Zheniskyzy worked as a senior researcher in the Department of Applied Life Sciences, Gyeongsang State University, South Korea, in the Research Laboratory of Natural and Organic Compounds of Professor Ki Hoon Park, and supervised the research work of Korean and foreign undergraduate and doctoral students. As a result of the joint research with South Korean scientists, for the first time in the world studied the chemical composition of endemic hardy plants in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan and isolated 20 compounds. Among these compounds, 17 compounds were highly active against high blood pressure (Inhibition of angiotensin-I converting enzyme (ACE)).
In 2017, he participated at the international talent exchange project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, he was also awarded by the title of highly talented scientist, and from 2018 to 2019 he has worked as a specially invited researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Medicine Research. Zhanar Zheniskyzy, on the basis of research contacts with foreign scientists, allowed for all the educated students from all over Kazakhstan to study abroad with a scholarship.
Based on these significant contributions, in 2019 the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Galymkair Mutanov opened the "Center for Research of Medicinal Plants" at the university. Zhanar Zheniskyzy was appointed as the director of the center. We believe that a specialist who has achieved high results in science and teaching for Kazakh country will still conquer many milestones.
Seitkhan Azatuly is one of the masters of education, who worked as a chemist, nanotechnologist and a young scientist. He was a PhD doctor in Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials, and Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as well. In 2015, he defended his doctoral dissertation in English on the topic «Development of the technology for fusicoccin preparation using nanocarbon sorbents and study of its biological and cytotoxic activity».
Based on his research topic, Seitkhan Azatuly developed a microfertilizer called "Phytomicrefertilizer" and successfully tested it in the field of field growing, seeding and greenhouse. These micronutrients improve the root system of plants and increase yields by 15-20%. С. The main research areas of nitrogen: nanomaterials, materials science, sorbents and water purification. He and his colleagues developed the first water purification filters in Kazakhstan with the financial support from the Science Foundation. Nowadays, the first domestic water filters are on the market of Kazakhstan and they are in great demand.
In 2019, Seitkhan Azatuly participated in the NATO project called "Science for Peace" along with his Kazakh and Belgian colleagues and became the winner. As a result, their project "Valorization of biomass waste into high efficient materials for CBRN protection" received a financial support for 2019-2021 years. This will allow to produce the first domestic sorbents for gas tanks in the future. Besides that, Seitkhan Azatuly worked as a leader and executor for Kazakhstani and international research projects. Springer and Kazakh University have published 3 monographs in English.
Therefore, he translated 4 textbooks in the field of nanotechnology from English into Kazakh. He is also an author of 4 artistic achievements and member of the Editorial Board of Foreign Journals at the International Journal of Environmental Chemistry and Horizon research publishing corporation.
He is a member of the Academic Council of «Baitursynuly Academy». Since 2015, as a postdoctoral student he has been working for the research projects of world-renowned professors such as Whitby and Vasileios Inglezakis at Nazarbayev University, School of Engineering, R.L.D. In 2017, he was awarded by the title of "Young Scientist of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University", as well as the medal "80 years of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" for his contribution in the development of the university. These days Seitkhan Azatuly, who combines science with industry and disciple making, is the research supervisor of 3 doctoral students.
He is also the winner of the competition for the best Young scientist of the Institute of Combustion Problems in 2019.
In 2019, fellow scientists came to Nur-Sultan for awarding the republican competition "The best teacher of the university". Despite a tight schedule, he took an active part in the events organized by the World Association of Kazakhs and Fellow Citizens Fund. He took part at meetings with foreign students and immigrants who moved to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and gave advice to young people in the field of education. He also took part in the opening of reading room "Fellow citizens reading" at the National Academic Library and shared his joy as well.
We wish success to the work of fellow scientists who have contributed to the development of Kazakh science, who loved their homeland as deep as the steppe, as deep as the sea!
