Cultural and business house “Abai” opened in Tashkent
On the 1st of October, 2020, the “Fellow Citizens Fund” and the World Association of Kazakhs, with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, inaugurated the Cultural and Business House “Abai” in Tashkent.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerkin Uisimbayev, Adviser to the Head of the Diaspora Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Baurzhan Tokkulov, Chairman of the Kazakh National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan, Serikbay Ussenov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, Ruslan Duissenov, the heads and representatives of the “Fellow Citizens Fund”, World Kazakhs Association and others took part at the event, that was held online via ZOOM platform.
As part of the event, a presentation of the House of Culture and Business in Tashkent was held, and the cultural, business, educational and other events of the local Kazakh diaspora, an implementation of joint projects aimed at supporting the work in this direction, and other important issues were discussed during the event.
It should be noted that the Cultural and Business House “Abai” in Tashkent has been opened within the framework of “Abai uii” project implemented by the “Fellow Citizens Fund” in order to unite all the Kazakh cultural and business organizations around the world. The main purpose of the newly opened center is a network of active local Kazakh public associations, representing the interests of repatriates and fellow citizens abroad in the field of cultural and humanitarian, educational, business, media and youth cooperation.
