Abai`s park was opened in Antalya
An opening ceremony of the park named after the great poet of the Turkic world, composer, Kazakh thinker Abai Kunanbayuly took place in Antalya.
As part of the celebration of the 175 anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly, the park in Antalya was named after Abai Kunanbayuly at the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkey, the Consulate in Antalya, the Association of Friendship and Culture of the Peoples of Kazakhstan and Eurasia.
A marble plaque of Abai has been erected in the park. The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Turkey Abzal Saparbekuly, Mayor of Muratpasha district of Antalya Umit Uisal, the representatives of the World Association of Kazakhs and “Fellow Citizens” Fund Latifa Kuchembayeva, Karlygash Kozhamuratova, Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hodja Ahmed Yassawi University, professor Firat Purtash, the Chairman of the Republican People's Party in Antalya Nusret Bayar and Deputy Chairman Rafet Zeybek, members of the Association of Friendship and Culture of the Peoples of Kazakhstan and Eurasia, local guests and the media.
A small concert program was organized, the famous poems of Abai were recited, songs were sung and books were donated during the meeting.
