On behalf of the Committee on Language Policy of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, a National Research and Practice Center "Til-Kazyna" named after Shaysultan Shayakhmetov published an informational book, called "Development and publication of reference materials to familiarize with the sacred places of Kazakhstan" to support ethnic Kazakhs abroad in the action plan for 2018-2022.

The purpose is to make our fellow relatives abroad aware of the life of the country, not to lose touch with the homeland, and to provide our compatriots abroad with the detailed information about the homeland, considering the sacred places and sacred sites in each region of the country as a whole, - said the authors of the book. Also, as the saying goes, "The name of the land is a letter of the history," the continuity of the past and present is reflected in the names of places and waters inhabited by the people. Each name has its own history, each sanctuary has a reason to wear it. These sacred places are not only the pride of a certain region, but also the sacred places of national significance, a mysterious genealogy that provides information about the history, source of life and thoughts of the descendants living in the homeland. These issues were taken into account during the compilation of the collection, - said Saya Aganaskyzy, a leading researcher of the Department of Terminology and Onomastics, Candidate of Philological Sciences. A book summarizes information and reference materials on natural heritage monuments, that are highly valued in accordance with the five criteria used to identify sacred places, while the second book provides information about archeological monuments and medieval urban centers in the country. Several more such books are being prepared this year. These works will include information about religious and places of worship, descriptions and pictures of sacred objects. The reader also finds the answers for the most pressing questions, such as: "What is the difference between the mausoleum, mazar and cemetery?", "What places of worship are there in the country?", "Where is the great place?" If you want to get acquainted with the mosques of the country that were built without using of spike, mausoleums built without foundations, ancient spherical structures made of wild stones, other architectural masterpieces, and you can get closer to the holy places as well. You will find it in this collection "Atameken", - said the authors of the book.
