It is well known that there is a Center of Support for Fellow Relatives under the Fellow Citizens Fund. Nowadays, the center has representatives in 10 regions of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, we have dedicated a new section for our fellow relatives in order to introduce our professionals who worked hard to provide quality services and solve their problems. So now, you should get acquainted with Akhmetov Serikhan Kalibekuly, an expert of the Center of Informational Support for Fellow Relatives in Almaty region.
Serikhan Akhmetov was born on the 15th of May, in 1960 and raised in Tarbagatay district of East Kazakhstan region. He graduated from the English Department of Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages in Almaty.
When it comes to his marital status, he has a wife, Galina Namazbayeva, who teaches English at the university. Their children are highly educated professionals who work in various fields.
His poems were published in national publications since he was a student. From 1985 to 2016 he worked in the field of television journalism, on "Kazakhstan" TV channel. Author's programs "Kus Zholy", "Tort Kubyla", "Eldestirmek Elshiden" are stored in the “Gold Fund”. He was the first person who organized and conducted "Laylat al-Qadr" (Night of Determination) on TV. And he was the first one who interviewed in English a world-famous boxer Stevenson.
He is also a Winner of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, a cultural figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well. In different years, he has worked as an editor-in-chief of "Kazakhstan" TV channel, a general director of "Zhetysu" TV channel. Since 2017, he has been working in Almaty Regional Branch of the World Association of Kazakhs and Fellow Citizens Fund to address the issues of fellow relatives.
Dealing with the issues of fellow relatives requires a lot of responsibility, perseverance and skill. According to Serikhan Akhmetov, his main goal is to help, care for and support the fellow relatives who came from different countries with different systems.
