Further development of mature oil fields to be supported by Kazakh Government

Measures to ensure the further development of mature oil fields were considered at a meeting of the Energy Council chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, issues of increasing investments in production and improving the technical and economic indicators of deposits, taxation, employment, compliance with environmental requirements and a number of others were discussed.

"The Prime Minister supported the approaches proposed by NC KazMunayGas JSC and authorized state bodies, which will ensure a stable level of production and an increase in revenues to the state budget," the report said.

The meeting also considered topical issues of Tengizchevroil LLP.
