Everyone should visit : TOP-20 tourist destinations in Kazakhstan in 2024

At the last meeting of the board, dedicated to the assessment of achievements in the field of tourism for 2023 and the goals for the upcoming 2024, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Yermek Marzhikpayev, announced the expansion of the list of priority tourist destinations of the country, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Earlier, the list included 10 destinations, now it presents 20 places.

Among the new top destinations are:

Khan Ordasy (West Kazakhstan region),
Kargaly reservoir (Aktobe region),
Tourist complex (Kostanay region),
Shchuchinsk-Borovoye resort area of Akbura (Akmola region),
Imantau-Shalkar Resort Area (NKR),
Bayanaul (Pavlodar region),
Katon-Karagai resort area (East Kazakhstan region),
Alakol resort area (Abay and Zhetysu regions),
Turgen – Kaskelen Ski Complex (Almaty city and Almaty region),
Koksay resort (Zhambyl region),
Balkhash (Karaganda region),
Turkestan (Turkestan region),
Baikonur Cosmodrome (Kyzylorda region),
Ulytau village (Ulytau region),
Warm beach (Mangistau region),
Ancient settlement of Saraishyk (Atyrau region),
gastronomic tourism center (Shymkent city),
Tourist district (Astana city).

Experts estimate that the expansion of the list of tourist destinations contributes to a more uniform development of the tourism industry throughout the country.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, together with local executive bodies, has already developed roadmaps for the development of infrastructure in each of these areas, which gives hope for the growth of domestic and foreign tourism in the coming years.
