Development of inter-parliamentary Сooperation with Kazakhstan in the Focus of Attention of the Polish Sejm
In the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (lower house of the Parliament) the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Alim Kirabayev met with the Vice-Speaker Dorota Niedziela, El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Polish inter-parliamentary cooperation as a basis for political dialogue between the two countries were discussed.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the active development of various aspects of bilateral partnership, including trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland.
In addition, the interlocutor was informed about the political and socio-economic transformations taking place in our country, in this context the main theses of the New economic policy and the January article of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on internal and external priorities and strategic course of Kazakhstan were presented.
In turn, the Vice-Speaker of the Polish Sejm Dorota Niedziela positively noted the multi-vector and balanced policy of Kazakhstan, expressing particular interest in the transit and transport potential of the country, including the Trans-Caspian international transport route, which will give a new impetus to trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and the EU. The Polish parliamentarian noted the special regional role of our countries as bridges between Europe and Asia.
Following the meeting, the Polish side expressed interest in increasing inter-parliamentary dialogue and mutual visits at the level of heads of parliaments of Kazakhstan and Poland.
