CICA Volunteer Rally kicked off in Kazakhstan
Rally of Volunteer Movement Leaders of the CICA Countries under the auspices of the СICA Youth Council has started in Astana,El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Over 450 delegates from 21 countries, such as Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Sri Lanka, China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Thailand, Tajikistan, Bahrain and others take part in the meeting. They discussed the key issues of volunteering and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
A meeting of the CICA Youth Council was held on the topic: "The Importance of Volunteering in Society: Discussing the Role of Volunteering in Promoting Sustainable Development of Asian Countries". Particular attention was paid to intercultural dialogue and strengthening cooperation between the participating countries.
At the end of the first day, the participants have already begun to develop joint recommendations for the development of volunteering in the CICA space.
The event will continue on October 4. Participants will discuss further steps to expand cooperation and exchange experience in volunteering.
