A round table of the Civil Alliance "New Kazakhstan – An Effective State with a Strong Civil Society" was held in Astana, El.kz reports.

The event was attended by the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other representatives of NGOs on the formation of civil society.

The round table began with a welcoming speech by the President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Banu Nurgazieva, who noted the importance of this collection.

"Today, the leaders of all regions for the development of the Civil Alliance of our country have gathered to discuss certain issues on the activity of civil organizations, to establish the systematic work of civil communities in accordance with the political reforms proposed by the Head of State. Without these reforms, there can be no changes in our society," Banu Nurgaziyeva said.

One of the main goals of the event is to lay the foundation for the work of civil alliances from all regions.

"At present, when a historical period as the presidential election is coming to our country, an important role is played by civil societies of different regions, which have gathered today for a round table. The Head of State also noted that the work of civil societies has a great impact on our country.

On the basis of this draft, the solution of several issues will be considered: first, amendments to a number of laws; the second issue concerns grant funding, as well as the concept of civil alliances for 2020-2022. It is known that several memorandums will be signed today. Therefore, I wish all the participants of the round table good luck in your affairs and my readiness to support", - Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Darkhan Kydyrali said.

In order to jointly cooperate, several memorandums were signed: with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption, the Public Foundation "Kazakhstan Khalkyna", the Institute of Parliamentarism, as well as with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elvira Azimova.
