Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, El.kz cites Akorda.
The President was informed about the crime prevention measures launched by the Ministry, which enabled to significantly reduce the number of murders, misconducts, thefts and robberies as well as rustling of cattle across the country.
The President was reported about the work on ensuring zero tolerance to the crimes and unavoidability of punishment as well as on protection of rights of minors and countering internet fraud.
As Sadenov informed, 37 million phone calls from fake phone numbers have been blocked since the year beginning and 16,000 websites with illegal content have been detected.
The President was also informed about the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan on Fight with Drug Addiction and Drug Business for 2023-2025. According to the Minister, police seized more than 31 tons of drugs and 79 tons of precursors, and liquidated 39 drug laboratories.
Besides, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the state of affairs in correctional system and in the National Guard.
At the end of the meeting, the President set a number of tasks to the Minister to improve law and order and public safety in the country.
