The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a telegram from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, in which he expresses gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided to the Syrian people who suffered from a devastating earthquake in February 2023, El.kz news reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
"The Syrian people highly appreciate the position of Kazakhstan, which showed a high human and moral sense and took the initiative to support it in distress," the telegram reads.
