A delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Vice Minister Malik Olzhabekov, took part in the 74th International Astronautical Congress, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
The Congress is one of the main space events where representatives of the space community, agencies and organizations exchange information and ideas, discuss developments and achievements, strategies and trends. This year's congress was held from 2 to 6 October 2023 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Vice Minister Malik Olzhabekov spoke at the Plenary Session "Space 2030: Policy and Strategy in the Global Space Economy" and held bilateral meetings with representatives of foreign space agencies and companies. The possibilities of cooperation in the field of spacecraft development, exchange of experience in the integration of digital technologies and Earth remote sensing data, space monitoring, as well as the implementation of joint programs and scientific research were discussed.
Representatives of organizations such as NASA, Thales Alenia Space Italy, Blue Origin, Planet, SpaceX, the European Space Agency, as well as representatives of space agencies of many countries spoke at the congress. Kazakhstan's participation in the congress contributes to the development of multilateral cooperation in the field of outer space and its peaceful use.
