Kazakhstan's women's beach volleyball team has successfully passed the first round of the Asian Cup, El.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The competition unfolded in the city of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Kazakh teams - "Kazakhstan-1" consisting of Laura Kabylbekova and Nadezhda Ivanchenko, as well as "Kazakhstan-2", represented by Alina Rachenko and Anastasia Ukolova, defeated the teams from Kyrgyzstan, defeating them with a score of 2:0.
This success provided the team of Kazakhstan with access to the third stage of qualification for the Olympic selection, which will be held next year in the spring. At this stage, Kazakhstani women will compete with teams from New Zealand and Japan, while two more teams will be determined at the end of the second round.
It is worth noting that teams from various countries, including Iran, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Bhutan, took part in the competition in Cox's Bazar.
