Kazakhstan and Malaysia focus on logistics and transport cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bulat Sugurbayev met with Minister of Transport of Malaysia YB Anthony Loke. They had a thorough discussion on prospects of bilateral logistics development during the global supply market changes, El.kz cites MFA.

Ambassador Sugurbayev elaborated to the strategic location of Kazakhstan at the junction of Asia and Europe, which is a promising market as a major regional logistics and transport hub for Malaysia.

Kazakh diplomat emphasized the expected positive impact of the expected direct flights between Almaty and Kuala Lumpur. It will revive the logistics, investment, trade, tourism, education, business, and P2P connections.

According to Minister Loke, Malaysia has a very developed seaports infrastructure and is a crucial link between East and West. The Minister is convinced that Kazakhstan plays a crucial role in the Eurasian logistic and transport chain and expressed his willingness to support the development of this sphere.

The Minister invited Sugurbayev to participate in the LIMA-2023 in May 23-27, 2023.
