The Head of State received the Minister of Justice Azamat Yeskarayev.President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the results of the activities of the justice bodies and on plans for the coming period, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
The Minister reported on the completion of the revision of the Criminal Procedure Codes, within the framework of which an analysis of more than 1000 articles and 1200 proposals was carried out. As a result, a corresponding bill has been developed that takes into account the issues of strengthening the protection of the rights of citizens and entrepreneurs and allows to exclude the unjustified involvement of business in the criminal prosecution.
According to Azamat Yeskarayev, comprehensive measures are being taken to improve the quality of legislation. In particular, measures are envisaged to strengthen the work of the interdepartmental commission on legislative activities; ensuring the stability of legislation through the broad involvement of representatives of the scientific community; strengthening the information support of reforms.
The President was also acquainted with 12 projects providing for measures to automate and digitize the supervised issues and public services.
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev focused on the importance of high-quality implementation of the tasks assigned to the Ministry and gave a number of instructions aimed at further improving legislation and strengthening the protection of citizens' rights
