The grand opening of Active Longevity Center at the House of Friendship of the Regional Assembly of people of Kazakhstan was held in Kyzylorda.
It should be reminded that "Nur Otan" together with the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan is implementing a project "Ardagerlerdі ardaktaiyk – with the care of the older generation. Similar centers in all regions and cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent are created for active participation of veterans and pensioners in social and cultural events and upbringing of youth, construction of continuity of generations.
The solemn event continued in the conference hall with a seminar on IT-technologies for veterans.
Meanwhile, a similar center was opened in the House of Friendship in Karaganda.
The centres will provide training in computer literacy, smartphones, state and English languages on a regular basis for citizens of retirement age,. Together with public associations, free legal and psychological consultations and master classes will be held every week in the cabinet of folk art development. Also, there is a library, and you can play chess and checkers in the recreation room.
Deputies of Mazhilis of Parliament of RK Albert Rau, Gulnara Kadyrzhanova, pensioners, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, regional Council of the public consent, Mothers’ Council and citizens took part in the solemn opening.
In his speech, Albert Rau noted: "The opening of the Center is aimed at involving elderly people in active life, using their potential and ensuring the continuity of generations. Therefore, a worthy and active old age is one of the priorities of the state policy of Kazakhstan. Our moral duty is to support the elderly generation, to create decent conditions for active longevity".
"This is a very important event for all those who remain vivacious and optimistic, and the Centre creates conditions for self-realization and participation in socially useful activities for older people. The House of Friendship is like a warm and cozy hearth for all ethnicities," commented Salima Nurmagambetova, a member of the Mothers’ Council.
