Aktau, Almaty and Turkestan are the three most popular destinations under the Kids go Free program, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since 2022, the Kids Go Free program has been operating in Kazakhstan, thanks to which children are provided with free air travel within the country.
The three most popular destinations among young tourists and their parents last year were the cities of Aktau, Almaty and Turkestan. At the same time, the Mangystau region accounted for more than 50% of all realized tours. In total, tickets worth 76 million tenge were subsidized under this program last year.
"Aktau is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kazakhstan and a popular holiday city for families. Last year, about 700 families used the Kids Go Free program, which allowed 1500 children to see other regions of Kazakhstan for free. This year, the goal is to reach at least 2,000 children and 1,000 families. For this, in particular, the requirements for tour operators were simplified," the official representative of the Ministry of Culture and Sports Moldir Abdualiyeva said.
