A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Western Iran at 11:15 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said, El.kz cites  Xinhua.

The coordinates of the epicenter, according to preliminary data, were 30.97° north latitude, and 46.35° east longitude.

The hypocentre of the quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
