16-year-old teenager found dead due to mudslide in Almaty

In Almaty, search and rescue operations continue as a result of mudslide in Almaty.

According to the latest data, at the scene of the incident, where the operational headquarters was deployed, rescuers are cleaning up the damaged houses from the mud mass and searching for victims, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At the moment, 182 specialists and 32 are involved in the work. Emergency psychological support was also provided to relatives and neighbors of the victims.

During rescue operations, employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the city of Almaty and the Republican Operational Rescue Squad found the body of a teenager born in 2007, who died as a result of the collapse of a building due to mudslide.
